What does D Colour, VVS mean for a diamond?
D is the highest colour grade a diamond can receive completely colourless. VVS (Very Very Slightly Included) means inclusions are so minor they are nearly impossible to see even under 10× magnification. Together with an Excellent cut, this represents the top tier of diamond quality available.
What is an IGI certificate and why does it matter?
IGI (International Gemological Institute) is one of the world's most trusted independent gemological laboratories. An IGI certificate is issued after a trained gemologist grades your diamond on carat, colour, clarity, and cut. It is your independent proof of exactly what you are buying — not just our word for it. All JDF diamond pendants above 1.00ct are IGI certified.
Is the gold solid 18K or gold-plated?
Solid 18K gold as always. Gold plating wears off over time. Our settings are crafted from solid 18K gold, which means the quality and lustre is consistent throughout the metal, not just on the surface.
Why is JDF pricing lower than jewellery stores?
Because we are the factory. Traditional jewellery retailers pay for physical showrooms, staff, display overheads, and multiple layers of distribution. At JDF, you buy directly from the manufacturer — so the savings that would otherwise disappear into the supply chain come back to you as value.
